Some of the reasons you bought the Galaxy Tab were its size and elegant design. I think it makes sense to protect it with something that exhibits similar traits. It adds little in terms of size or weight. The exterior is nicely stitched leather and I like that there are not loose threads or "sharp edges". It has the appearance of a very well made case. The flap that acts as the base when you are using this as an easel and also covers the LCD screen when the case is closed is both padded and rigid. While I don't expect this thing to stop a bullet and still protect the screen it seems like it will do about as well as anything.
