I sat and swapped the original Samsung cable for this one, back and forth, and whenever this cable was connected the connection to my PC was dropped. The description says the cable is 3 feet long and it is, not sure why someone would complain about a cable not being 5 feet long when the description doesn't say it is . . . I think they're a great value for the convenience of having extra charging/data cables available! I never understand why people give products a low rating when it's clear that they simply received a defective product (it happens, don't see how we can expect perfection in every single item that is mass-produced). Perhaps the sellers purchase from different manufacturers, but the two cables I received are well made, forty-one (41) inches long (longer than specified in the ad) and operate without problems for charging and data transfer.
